What is educational accreditation?
Educational accreditation is a means of quality assurance that enables schools to demonstrate performance, progress and academic standards to their parents, students and other stakeholders. In addition to demonstrating an ongoing commitment to continuing development and improvement and maintaining the highest standards.
In 2015, KIS achieved the highest possible standards within the Thai based OPEC and ONESQA accreditation schemes; enabling us to now embark on gaining accredited status on an international level.
Educational accreditation at KIS
In recognition of our commitment to demonstrating quality, development and improvement, Kajonkiet International School is working towards gaining accredited status within the Educational Development Trust (formerly CfBT) International Schools Quality Mark (ISQM) accreditation model.
The ISQM model provides a set of rigorous quality standards across the following areas;
The main benefit of opting for the ISQM model is the developmental process which is undertaken as a partnership between The Education Development Trust and our school involving regular support and advice from an experienced consultant specially assigned to our school. In addition we are associated with an organisation that has substantial involvement in quality assurance and accountability in the UK and worldwide and is a leading independent provider of accreditation and inspection services across the globe.
What does this mean for you?
The accreditation process centres around self review and ongoing development and improvement, so you may notice some changes – all positive – as we embark on our accreditation journey. We are committed to involving our stakeholders every step of the way and will keep you informed of any developments that may affect you.
Our Lead Evaluator for the ISQM accreditation within our school is Miss Kylie Millar. For more information about educational accreditation at KIS please email firstname.lastname@example.org
